lovely, lyrical, lilting

I came across Stanley Kubrick's adaptation of Vladimir Nabokov's controversial novel, Lolita, while perusing through the DVD section at the library the other day. I had never seen it before, but always heard that it was one of the greats, so I gave it a watch. That little 60's vixen, Sue Lyon, who plays the title role, had me completely captivated!

Isn't she the cutest thing?

  1. aaaah I've always wanted to see the movie. I read the book, it is one of those sick / riveting combinations.

  2. I started the book a couple days ago...and I cannot put it down! Seriously sick, seriously riveting. John disapproves, but I'm finishing it anyway. I also discovered that there's a 1997 remake with Jeremy Irons and Melanie Griffith..

  4. Oh Shelly, I love her too. How she always sounds on the verge of tears.
